Concerns are growing for a music journalist who has gone missing from a hospital.

Kyle Reid, 32, was last seen at Raigmore in Inverness at 6.10am on Tuesday.

He arrived in Inverness by bus the previous day and has links to Aberdeen, Alness and Lochinver.

Kyle is described as being 6ft, of stocky build and has short brown hair.

He was wearing a green khaki top and dark trousers while also carrying a red jacket.

Kyle was pulling a silver hard shell case and had a shoulder bag and a black backpack.

Sergeant Alasdair Goskirk said: "We are growing increasingly concerned for Kyle's welfare and would urge anyone with information about him to make contact with us as soon as possible.

"He was last seen in Inverness but is known to have connections in several different areas so I would urge people across the Highlands and in the Aberdeen area to be alert and report any details which may prove helpful.

"I would also appeal directly to Kyle to make contact with police if you see this to let us know you are safe."
