A brand new fire and light show is will debut at Dean Castle Country Park this autumn.

"Illuminight" will feature stunning visuals, state of the art lighting installations and a musical trail.

The trail will take visitors through woodland alongside an illuminated River Irvine.

It will run through October and November and forms part of the celebrations for the reopening of the famous Kilmarnock attraction following a multi-million pound restoration and renovation project.

Douglas Reid, leader of East Ayrshire Council and formerly chairman of East Ayrshire Leisure, said: "We are reaching for the stars in East Ayrshire with the multi-million pound redevelopment of Dean Castle Country Park.

"Illuminight is a fitting way to celebrate the park re-opening and this world class event will shine a light on Dean Castle Country Park.

"We look forward to welcoming visitors from far and wide."
