A woman has been arrested after police recovered more than £1000 worth of drugs from a property in East Ayrshire.

Officers attended an address in Netherthird and searched it under a warrant.

A quantity of alleged class A and B drugs were recovered.

A 25-year-old woman was arrested and is expected to appear at Ayr Sherrif Court.

Communities inspector Kate Currie said: "The sale of illegal drugs and drug misuse remain a priority within East Ayrshire and our local policing teams continue to focus on this area of criminality.

"Information from our communities greatly assists our efforts in tackling these issues.
