Warning after medication stolen from home in Kilmarnock
Anyone with information is asked to call 101.
A large quantity of medication has been stolen from a property in Kilmarnock.
The medication was taken from Buchanan Place, Bellfield, on Sunday, and could prove extremely harmful if taken when not prescribed.
Tamazepam, Fentanyl, Fentanyl Buccal, Paracetamol and Co-codamol were all taken.
Communities inspector Kate Currie said: "We are carrying out door-to-door enquiries and checking all available CCTV in the area in order to trace who is responsible for this crime.
"I would appeal to anyone who may have been in the area who noticed or saw something which appeared a little odd or suspicious to get in touch.
"The medication stolen could pose a health risk to any member of the public who consumes it without prior approval of a medical professional."
She added: "Anyone with any information which can help with this inquiry should contact Kilmarnock Police Office on 101.
