Officers arrested six people on Tuesday afternoon as hundreds took to Irvine beach park and harbourside.
Additional officers were deployed to the area to work alongside local coastguard teams, British Transport Police and the Scottish Ambulance Service.
Five individuals were arrested for alleged disorder offences and an 18-year-old man was arrested for the alleged possession of an offensive weapon at Irvine station.
Multiple young people were also assisted by police due to high levels of intoxication, and a "significant amount" of alcohol was seized.
Inspector Jim McMillan, of Irvine Police Office, said on Tuesday: "We are committed to keeping people safe and would like to thank the majority of visitors today who came to enjoy what the area has to offer.
"Officers will continue to deal robustly with incidents of disorder and antisocial behaviour.
"A significant quantity of alcohol was seized by officers today and three young people were assisted by police and partners due to their levels of intoxication.
"The underage consumption of alcohol can have a detrimental impact on the health of our young people and when mixed with hot weather and rivers the risks are greatly increased."
Anyone with concerns about crime or antisocial behaviour in their area is encouraged to contact their local policing team by calling 101 or 999 in an emergency.
