Security stepped up as teenagers make way to Troon beach
Officers and members of the local coastguard teams were on site.
Hundreds of teenagers have taken to Troon beach as temperatures soar across Scotland.
Officers and members of the local coastguard teams were on site to ensure safety and security at the popular shore front.
An alcohol ban was also enforced on trains between Glasgow Central and Ayr from 10am.
It comes less than a week after around 6000 teens attended a party allegedly organised on Facebook, where ten people were arrested.
Chief inspector Gary I'Anson, area commander for South Ayrshire said on Monday morning: "Whilst the majority of people come to enjoy the sunshine and the beach, sometimes on days like this a small minority make poor choices and can become involved in antisocial behaviour, resulting in officers intervening in incidents of disorder.
"This impacts on everyone else including families, young children, local residents and the many visitors who have just come to enjoy the good weather.
"It's really important that everyone who visits our beaches behaves responsibly to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all."
He added: "Today we are again working with partners including South Ayrshire Council, British Transport Police and Scot Rail to keep the beaches in South Ayrshire safe and popular places to visit, and we have extra officers on duty who will robustly deal with any incidents of violence and anti-social behaviour.
"I would appeal to everyone, particularly young people, to be considerate, make safe and positive choices in terms of where they are going, who you are going with and to think about what will happen when they get there.
"I would also encourage anyone with any specific concerns to speak to one of my local officers out on patrol or contact Police Scotland by calling 101.
"Please enjoy the lovely weather and don't spoil a nice summer's day out for anyone else by acting irresponsibly."
