Nominations are being sought to honour South Ayrshire sporting heroes with the launch of the region's annual awards.
The local authority aim to honour special achievements and volunteers in a range of fields at every level of sport.
Local sports clubs are given the opportunity to highlight and recognise those who play a big part in running organisations and helping them thrive.
The Sports Council categories, which include Sports Personality of the Year, are open to people from clubs affiliated to South Ayrshire Sports Council.
The coaching, officiating & volunteering categories, which include 'Community Coach of the Year' and 'Volunteer of the Year' categories are open to all.
Councillor Brian McGinley said: "Every single week hundreds of people are out working in their communities to give young people a chance to take part in their chosen sports.
"The army of coaches, officials and volunteers play their part in giving people the chance to try-out and develop, in both individual and team sports.
"With a broad range of categories to choose from we're looking forward to hearing from affiliated clubs and people working behind the scenes and I'm looking forward to meeting the class of 2017 at the ceremony later this year."
