Coastguard attends yacht with broken mast and rigging
Nobody was injured in the rescue.
A crew on-board a yacht had to be rescued after it was de-masted in the Firth of Clyde.
The Ardrossan Coastguard Rescue Team was diverted to Largs Marina while attending a speedboating event in Greenock.
They were requested by the Joint Agency COmmand Centre through Belfast Coastguard in order to assist the Largs Lifeboat, who had been launched to the aid of the yacht.
Making their way south from Greenock, the team arrived as Largs Lifeboat were within the confines of the marina and about to bring the yacht alongside them.
A spokesman from the Ardrossan coastguard said: "All persons on board the yacht were safe and well.
"With the casualty vessel safely tied up alongside and no further assistance required, the team then returned to their incident prevention duties in Greenock."
