Cladding tests show other tower blocks are 'combustible'
Theresa May said checks will now be carried out on all relevant buildings.
Tests on tower block cladding in the wake of the Grenfell Tower fire have revealed a number are "combustible", Theresa May has said.
The prime minister said the Government will now test all relevant buildings as a precautionary measure.
She told the Commons up to 100 buildings can be tested in a day with the results back "within hours".
Mrs May urged any landlord who owns a building of this kind to send samples for testing as soon as possible.
"We cannot and will not ask people to live in unsafe homes," she said.
All social landlords have been instructed to carry out additional fire safety checks following the Grenfell tragedy which claimed the lives of at least 79 people.
Many children are among the dead and, in some cases, whole families perished.
