Police were called to Fernie Place in Fraserburgh at around 4am on Sunday following what they described as a "large-scale disturbance."

They discovered the body of Gary Clampett, 39, within a home a short time later.

Police Scotland said three men - aged 31, 39 and 45 - have been charged in connection with his death.

Detective inspector Gary Winter added: "I would like to thank the members of the public who have assisted with our investigation so far. I would also like to thank the local community for your continued patience.

"Our enquiries are still ongoing and a strong police presence will remain in the area while these are carried out."

Anyone with information connected to the incident is asked to call the police on 101.
