Man falls to his death at Glasgow's Buchanan Galleries
The incident happened at around 1.45pm on Friday at the shopping centre.
Buchanan Galleries in Glasgow was evacuated after a man fell to his death from a balcony.
The man fell from the second floor of the Buchanan Street shopping centre at 1.45pm on Friday.
Police and ambulance crews were called and the first paramedics arrived on the scene within three minutes.
The man has yet to be identified.
A police spokeswoman said: "At 1.45pm, police received a report of a man having fallen from a balcony at Buchanan Galleries."
A spokesman for the Scottish Ambulance Service said: "We received a call at around 1.45pm to attend an incident at Buchanan Galleries in Glasgow.
"We dispatched one ambulance, a paramedic response unit and a trauma team to the scene.
"The first unit was on scene within three minutes."
A spokesman for Buchanan Galleries said: "We can confirm an incident took place this afternoon within the centre. We are cooperating fully with the emergency services and assisting them with their enquiries."
