The Ayrshire Cycle Festival is set to return this weekend for its second year.

Based almost entirely at Troon Scout Hall, there are events for various different levels of cycling ability.

On Saturday, cyclists can participate in shorter and specialist rides and events, including a family treasure hunt, ladies only ride and an electric-bike only ride.

Sunday's festivities are geared towards longer distance events, with 50km, 100km and 100 miles being offered.

Open road routes will be fully signed for the 100km and 100 mile rides, and participants will be led around the course by experienced Cycling UK members.

The events are not competitive, and members of the public are invited to come along to enjoy a cycle throughout the county.
