Woman killed and boy, 16, critical in Paisley attack
Police are treating the incident as murder and attempted murder.
A woman has been killed and a teenager is fighting for his life in hospital following an attack in Paisley.
Emergency sertvices were called to Penilee Road in the Ralston area of the Renfrewshire town around 4.30pm on Friday after two people were reported injured.
A woman, aged 52, was pronounced dead at the scene, and a 16-year-old boy was taken to hospital.
Detectives are treating the woman's death as murder and the attack on the boy as attempted murder.
Medics at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital say the teenager is in a critical condition.
A house was cordoned off and officers as well as ambulance crews remained at the scene for several hours.
A police spokeswoman said: "Police are treating the incident as murder and attempted murder.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
