Ayrshire beaches earn Keep Scotland Beautiful prizes
Areas including Ayr, Troon and Millport gained awards.
A total of four Ayrshire beaches have been handed Keep Scotland Beautiful awards for 2017.
More than 60 beaches across the country will be handed flags by then environmental charity to signify the honour.
Ayrshire's beaches are some of the busiest in Scotland and Maidens, Ayr South, Troon and Millport have now been rewarded.
Derek Robertson, chief executive of Keep Scotland Beautiful, said: "The Scottish Beach Awards set the standard for our stunning coastlines and inland shores - making sure that they are litter free, provide excellent facilities for families and encourage more visitors to our beautiful beaches.
"Going to the beach is a tradition that we want to continue, whilst protecting this valuable environment."
