Police officers in East Ayrshire were invited by the Ayrshire branch of Alzheimer Scotland to meet the group on Wednesday.

Safer communities officer PC Marshall joined the members in a rendition of Bring Him Home.

Speaking after the event, Mr Marshall said: "I feel honoured to have been invited along to such a special day showing support for those living with dementia.

"Having people close to me affected by this disease made it all the more special.

"The contributions made by members of the group were humbling and it was fantastic to see the support the group has."
