The Queen has condemned the Manchester Arena suicide bombing as "wicked" she visited injured victims at the city's children's hospital.

Queen Elizabeth met a number of people at Manchester Children's Hospital who were caught up in the explosion.

She also praised the response of the city to the attack as well as its "unity".

Twelve children under the age of 16 - among the 64 casualties - were taken to the hospital by ambulance following the terror attack.

The hospital was visited by Prime Minister Theresa May on Tuesday afternoon.

Some 22 people were killed and 59 wounded in the attack carried out by bomber Salman Abedi.
