Two GP practices affected by nationwide cyber attack
NHS Ayrshire and Arran say no patient details have been compromised.
NHS bosses in Ayrshire and Arran say two GP practices have been affected by the cyber attack that swept Scottish health boards over the weekend.
The authority was one of 13 affected by the ransomware scam on Friday.
Computer systems will continue to be monitored closely as they attempt to return to a normal service
John Wight, director for corporate support services, said: "As a precaution, the practices were immediately disconnected from our network and we are in the process of checking and reconnecting the devices to the network.
"Our IT security team is monitoring our systems and we will continue to do so over the coming days in order to minimise any possible impact on services.
"There is no evidence to suggest that patient details have been compromised and all our services are currently running as normal."
