Born in Dundee, Jim Gellatly started his presenting career at Moray Firth Radio in Inverness more than 20 years ago.
The DJ has been hailed as the first person to play the likes of Biffy Clyro, The Fratellis, Amy Macdonald and KT Tunstall on the radio
The Enemy have also credited Jim on several occasions for picking up on them while still unsigned.
His regular Jim Gellatly's New Music podcast was nominated as best podcast or radio show at the BT Digital Music Awards in 2010.
Last year, Jim lead the successful campaign for Rock Radio to get a FM outlet and the radio station is set to launch this summer.
