Man assaulted and robbed by gang of four men in Largs
They stole his wallet and mobile phone after kicking him to the ground
Four men attacked and robbed a 24-year-old man in Largs on Wednesday.
The victim was walking in Newhaven Grove in the early hours when four men approached him from behind.
They stole his wallet and mobile phone after kicking him to the ground and then made off in a dark saloon car and a smaller black sports car.
The victim suffered minor injuries in the incident and did not require medical treatment.
The four suspects are described as Asian, in their mid-20s, with small to medium builds and Glasgow accents.
All were wearing dark coloured clothing.
Detective constable Bryn Meehan said: "I am appealing to anyone who was in the area to contact us.
"Although, the incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, it's possible people were up and may have heard or witnessed the disturbance or may have seen either of the cars as the suspects made off.
