Two armed robbers are being hunted after a raid at a petrol station in Aberdeen.

The pair made off with a three-figure sum after threatening a man with a blunt instrument at the Esso garage on North Anderson Drive.

The 24-year-old victim was left extremely shaken by the incident but did not require medical attention.

Officers are keen to speak to two men who were seen walking from Logie Place to the garage.

One of the men is described as around 5ft 10in and was wearing grey clothing and a grey hat. The second man is described as around 5ft 6in, of stocky build and he was wearing a black hooded jumper.

Detective constable Emma Low said: "We are appealing to anyone who may have been in the area and seen anything unusual or suspicious to contact us.

"In particular we would ask for anyone using the Esso garage at the Haudagain around that time to get in touch as they may have seen something which could assist with our enquiries.

"Police can be contacted on 101 or to remain anonymous please contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
