Commuters in Dundee are facing 16 weeks of delays on one of the city's key routes.

Sections of Strathmartine Road will be closed for four months as SGN carries out crucial gasworks.

Work is due to take place in two phases from Monday, May 15, with the company renewing a number of gas mains.

Businesses and residents on Park Road to Camperdown Road will be affected while the work takes place in the area.

Diversions will be in place for the full course of the project with possible parking restrictions if required for safety

The upgrade work involves replacing old, metal gas mains with new plastic pipe.

The project is part of an ongoing gas mains replacement programme developed with the Health and Safety Executive.
