Man arrested after petrol station robbed at knifepoint
Police Scotland can confirm a 37-year-old man has been arrested.
A man has been arrested following an armed robbery at a Stevenston petrol station.
A two-figure sum of money was stolen after the man brandished a knife and demanded the service assistant hand over money on Boglemart Street.
The service assistant, a 63 year-old woman, was uninjured as a result of the incident on Saturday.
The man was dressed entirely in dark clothing.
Police Scotland can confirm a 37-year-old man has been arrested and is presently detained in police custody following the incident.
A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal and the man is expected to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Tuesday.
