Traffic Scotland is advising commuters to allow extra time for journeys this week as essential roadworks are carried out on the M77.

Carriageway resurfacing works will take place between Junction 5 Maidenhall and Junction 8 Fenwick, requiring sections of the road to be closed.

The M77 will be closed southbound between Maidenhall and Stewarton Road until Thursday, May 11, between 8pm and 6am.

There will be a diversion in place through the A77.

The M77 northbound will also be subject to closure between Fenwick and Maidenhall from May 11 until May 13.
