What's on in Edinburgh: Your city entertainment guide
A selection of top events happening in the capitol.
Brewband: Traverse Theatre, 10 Cambridge Street
Superband created by award-winning disabled choreographer Marc Brew, with music and dance from Graeme Smillie, Jill O'Sullivan and Peter Kelly, as well as talented dancer/musicians Martyn Garside, Marta Masiero and Alice Sheppard. The performance explores identity, labels and 'putting people in boxes' and combines the energy of a rock gig with the theatricality of a dance performance.
Adam Ant: Edinburgh Playhouse, 18-22 Greenside Place
It may be thirty-five years since Adam and the Ants disbanded, but Prince Charming himself is in full comeback mode, playing high-energy concerts around the country and in 2013 releasing his first album in eighteen years (it's been called 'sprawling' and 'brilliant'.) Daub on that facepaint, unplug the jukebox, and check out the 80s pop pin-up as he unleashes his brand of swaggering post-punk and dandy pop.
