Mark Wallinger: Mark: Dundee Contemporary Arts, 152 Nethergate
Artist Mark Wallinger's first exhibition in Scotland focuses on his ID Paintings, an ambitious series of large-scale Rorschach blot-like images.
Wallinger's work encompasses painting, sculpture, photography, film and more. He has curated exhibitions, created ballets, and won the Turner Prize in 2007.
These new paintings bring into focus identity as a recurring theme within Wallinger's practice.
The Nightingales: Beat Generator Live, 70 North Lindsay Street
Formed in Birmingham in 1979, The Nightingales are a post-punk/alternative rock band.
Described as "the misfits' misfits" and comprising an ever fluctuating line-up based around lyricist/singer Robert Lloyd, The Nightingales enjoyed cult status in the early 80s as darlings of the credible music scene and were championed by John Peel.
They've supported diverse acts including Bo Diddley and Nico.
