Focus on war veterans as drama workshop begins
Play focuses on the transition from military life to civilian life.
Charity Stand Easy are working with war veterans in a series a workshops to produce a play that will highlight the difficulties of adapting to civilian life.
Stand Easy offers theatre and theatre skills as a means of assisting the recovery process for wounded, injured and sick military personnel, both serving and veteran.
Participants will spend three weeks working with theatre producer Alan Cameron and filmmaker Sandie Jamieson before touring the play around Community Centres in Dundee and Fife.
The charity believes the project gives participants a voice and will enable audiences to better understand their experiences.
Following the project, Stand Easy wants to continue to support war veterans and are in talks with Dundee and Angus College to set up weekly drama sessions with professional drama workers and college students.
