Abandoned Station Hotel back on the market for £1m
One of the town's most iconic buildings has been derelict for past four years.
One of Ayr's most iconic buildings is up for sale again at offers of £1million.
The Station Hotel has been empty for almost four years, and has since fallen into a poor condition.
The once grand Victorian building is being held up with scaffolding, after it was branded 'dangerous' by South Ayrshire Council in 2015.
Boasting an impressive four storeys, the hotel was originally built in 1885 by the Glasgow and South-Western Railway Company for £50,000.
It was bought seven years ago by Malaysian businessman Eng Huat Ung for £750,000, but is now back on the market for a seven-figure sum.
It forms part of Ayr train station, and has views overlooking the town centre and the River Ayr.
