Lord provost completes hat-trick in London Marathon
Donald Wilson raised £2100 after completing the 26.2-mile course on Sunday.
Edinburgh lord provost Donald Wilson became a hat-trick hero after completing the London marathon for the third successive year.
The keen runner raised more than £2100 for the OneCity Trust after completing the 26.2-mile course in five hours and 28 minutes.
OneCity is an independent charity which provides emergency funds to many local groups to help young people with disabilities and to fight inequality in Edinburgh.
Mr Wilson said: "There's nothing easy about a marathon and I'm relieved to have once again made it to the finish line.
"If you told me a few years ago that I'd be running from Blackheath to Buckingham Palace once, let alone three times, I would have thought you were mad."
After pounding the pavements of London, the provost will be back in training for next month's Edinburgh Marathon.
