The search is on to find the top apprentice in the annual Irvine Incorporated Trades awards.

Unlike previous years, the awards scheme is not limited to those living or working in Irvine and is instead being opened to apprentices from across Ayrshire.

The awards both recognise and reward outstanding apprentices, and also seeks to highlight companies which provide effective apprenticeship programs.

The scheme is open to any apprentice living or working in Ayrshire, and the winning apprentice will receive a £1000 prize, with their employers awarded a trophy at a champagne dinner in September.

Any companises wishing to book tables should contact Central Ayrshire MP Brian Donohoe on donohoebrianh@gmail.com or on 07774 646600.
