A new Dundee restaurant has pledged to donate its profits to five charities in the city.

The Boozy Cow opens in Roseangle in the west end of the city this week.

Staff at the new outlet have selected the organisations set to benefit, with owner Gareth Wood setting an ambitious targets for the years ahead.

Youth charity The Hot Chocolate Trust, Dundee Women's Aid, the Mid-Lin Day Care Centre and Art Angel will receive cash from the Dundee branch as well as Help for Kids.

The chain already has branches in Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Stirling.

Each charity only found out they were in line for support earlier this month.
