The Overgate centre will host a free photography exhibition to show the real picture of autism.

At the start of the year, the Scottish Autism organisation called for people to share what they wished others knew about about the condition.

Photographs and accompanying stories from individuals and families affected by autism will be displayed to celebrate Autism Awareness month.

Around 700,000 people in the UK are on the autism spectrum. Together with their families, this means autism is a part of daily life for 2.8 million people.
