Concern is growing for a missing woman from West Lothian who has health problems.

Elizabeth Smith or McLeish was last seen around 9.30pm on Friday in Avondale Crescent, Armadale.

The 37-year-old has not been in touch with her family and friends, who are growing concerned for her welfare.

She is described as being around 5ft 6in tall with brown hair and is slim built. She was wearing a black jacket when she was last seen.

Police have appealed for anyone with information on her whereabouts to contact them.

Sergeant Garson Gillies of Whitburn police station said: "We are growing increasingly concerned for Elizabeth who is not in the best of health.

"It is also concerning that she has now been missing overnight in inclement weather.

"Anyone who has seen Elizabeth or a woman matching her description is asked to please get in touch by calling us on 101.

"Similarly if Elizabeth herself sees this appeal, we would ask her to contact her family or ourselves."
