Concerns are mounting over the welfare of a man missing from his home in Aberdeen.
James Stewart was last seen on Hayton Road shortly before 11am on Wednesday.
He has not been seen since and a police spokesman said officers were growing increasingly concerned for his safety.
Mr Stewart is described as around 6ft with a slim build. He is thought to be wearing a black Adidas hat, black knee-length jacket, black tracksuit bottoms and black trainers.
Inspector Mark Stephen said: "It has been more than 24 hours since James was last seen and we urgently want to trace him.
"I would appeal to James directly to let us know his whereabouts. Likewise I would appeal to anyone who knows where he might be, or anyone who has seen a man matching his description, to let us know as soon as possible.
"Officers are carrying out extensive enquiries in the city centre, George Street and the beach area, where James may have sought shelter overnight."
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101.
