British astronaut Tim Peake has announced he will be returning to space to complete a second mission.

He revealed his future plans while unveiling the spacecraft that carried him and his crew to and from the International Space Station (ISS) at the Science Museum in London.

Major Peake first travelled to the ISS in the Soyez capsule just over a year ago and soon after became the first British astronaut ever to walk in space.

The father-of-two has previously said he would return to space "in a heartbeat", but admitted he wanted to spend time with his family first.

He returned from his first mission to space in June 2016.
