A main road in central Scotland has been closed for further investigations after a fatal crash.

Pedestrian Sixto Lopez Moreno died in hospital after being knocked down by a Mercedes Vito on the A91 in Stirling.

Mr Moreno, 35, who was from Spain and working in Dunblane, was struck last Monday at around 6am near Powis Mains Farm.

He died at the Western General in Edinburgh five days later.

The A91 was closed in both directions between the Logie Kirk and Manor Powis roundabouts on Wednesday morning as an inquiry into the circumstances continues.

Motorists were advised to avoid the area during the closure, which was expected to last around an hour.
