A man who went missing after a night out in Dundee has been found safe and well.

Danny Martin, originally from Arbroath, was out in the city centre with friends on Thursday before becoming separated from the group.

The 22-year-old, who now lives in Plymouth, had last been sighted in St Vigeans Gardens, Arbroath, at around 3.30am on Friday.

Police sent out a public appeal later on Friday to find the young man. He was traced several hours later.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Tayside Division can confirm that 22-year-old Danny Martin from Plymouth has been traced safe and well and would like to thank the public for their assistance."
