Motorists are being urged to be on the lookout for a black Vauxhall Vectra on the A9 as police search for a man missing since Thursday morning.

Brian Hunter was last seen at around 8am after leaving his workplace at Malcolm Logistics in Lauriston Road, Grangemouth.

The 38-year-old, from Grangemouth, left in his black Vauxhall (Registration: KC06 VKB) and has not been seen since.

Officers say they believe he had travelled to Perth and may have possibly travelled north up the A9, which has been hit with heavy snow and ice since.

Brian is described as a white, 6ft1in, of medium build and has short, brown receding hair. He also wears glasses.

He was last seen wearing a dark polo shirt with 'Malcolm Logistics' written on it, a high-visibility jacket with navy work trousers and dark work boots.

He was also wearing a black tammy hat with 'Malcolm' written on it.

Inspector Martin Rutland of Falkirk Police Station said: "Brian has now been missing for some time and we are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare.

"We believe that Brian may be travelling north along the A9 and we would ask anyone on the road to be vigilant for a black Vauxhall Vectra being driven by a man in his late thirties and report any sighting to police.

"I would also urge anyone who has seen Brian on Thursday, January 12, or recognises his description, to get in touch with us as soon as possible."

Those with information about Brian's whereabouts can contact Police Scotland on 101.
