FAI after woman killed when HGV ploughed into her home
Catherine Bonner, 55, died after the coal lorry ploughed into her house in 2013.
A fatal accident inquiry into the death of a woman after a lorry ploughed into her home is due to start on Monday.
Catherine Bonner, 55, died after an HGV carrying coal collided with her house on the A78 in Fairlie near Largs in North Ayrshire.
Her death on February 14, 2013, sparked a police investigation and a safety campaign by village residents.
Lorry driver George Marshall was initially reported to the procurator fiscal for causing her death by dangerous driving, however the Crown Office decided against pursuing the case.
The full fatal accident inquiry is due to get under way at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Monday morning.
After Mrs Bonner's death, residents began the Fairlie Safe Roads and Pavement Campaign, which has lobbied the Scottish Government for safety improvements on the A78.
