A trio of bears has become the latest attraction at a Dundee country park.

It has been 30 years since the last European Brown Bears arrived at Camperdown Wildlife Centre.

The complex marked the animals' arrival by offering free entry to the first 200 visitors on its opening day on Wednesday.

Brumm, Maja and Brumma arrived from Kolmarden Zoo in Sweden at the centre in late November.

To help them settle in, there was a statutory 30-day isolation period before the public were allowed a closer look.

Visitors now have the first chance to see the 22-month-old siblings up close since they arrived.

The young bears were brought to Camperdown after the older female bear, Star, lost her long term companion, Comet, in August last year.

Bob Duncan, chairman of Leisure and Culture Dundee, said: "The wildlife centre has a long association with European brown bears and has been a pioneer in bear welfare over the years.

"It is great news that we will now have three more bears to serve as ambassadors for the species."
