Elderly dementia sufferer missing in Edinburgh overnight
Robert Haldane, 84, was last seen leaving his home on Saturday afternoon.
Concerns are growing for an elderly dementia sufferer who has been missing overnight.
Robert Haldane, 84, was last seen in Prospect Bank Road in Leith, Edinburgh, on Saturday at around 1pm.
He rarely leaves the house alone and police are extremely concerned for his welfare after he failed to be traced overnight.
Mr Haldane is described as being around 5ft 10in tall, with white hair on the sides of his head and balding on top. He has a slim build and speaks with a local accent.
When he was last seen he was wearing a blue three-quarter length jacket, a dark blue flat cap, grey trousers and tan walking shoes.
Mr Haldane is known to frequent the Leith Walk and Easter Road areas and also may have visited the Christmas market in Princes Street.
Sergeant Patricia Hamilton of Leith Police Station said: "Robert is particularly vulnerable on account of his dementia.
"We are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen him or a man fitting his description.
"Anyone with information is asked to contact officers on 101."
