Van and car collide on A1 causing rush hour tailbacks
The crash happened at about 7.50am on Friday about half a mile north of the town.

The road was closed northbound from the scene of the crash near the Spott roundabout to Bowerhouse and diversions were in place from 8.40am.
An air ambulance was sent to the scene amid reports that the drivers of both vehicles were injured.
Two fire engines, two police cars and an ambulance are also at the scene.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: "We were called to a two-vehicle collision involving a Kia car and a Ford Transit Van at 7.48am on Friday.
"The location is approximately half a mile north of Dunbar on the northbound carriageway of the A1.
"There are tailbacks northbound and ambulance and fire crews are also in attendance."
