A father and his two young children have gone missing from their home in Kent.

Kent police have appealed for information after Christopher Howard, 34, his six-year-old son and four-year-old daughter were reported missing from their Ashford home.

The father is thought to be in the Maidstone area and was last seen with the two children on the afternoon of Friday December 2.

Howard, a white, heavy-built, balding man around 6 ft 2 inches tall, drives a silver Land Rover Freelander.

Kent police said he often wears grey tracksuit bottoms and grey tops however his outfit on the day he went missing is unknown.

They have urged anyone with information to get in touch.

"We believe Christopher is currently in the Maidstone area and ask anyone who sees him or the children to call Kent Police immediately on 101 quoting reference 04-1031," said Police Constable Joshua Hammond.
