Police say they have concerns for a five-year-old boy who has been reported missing by his family.

Charlie Caston is believed to be in the care of his birth mother Alexandra Konstacka, 35, who lives in Warddykes, Arbroath.

He was due to be returned to other family members on Saturday but they are currently unaware of his whereabouts.

Police say they wish to ensure he is safe and well.

Charlie is described as having short light brown hair and brown eyes.

When last seen he was wearing blue jeans, a blue T-shirt and a light blue hoody with an "eat, sleep, mine, repeat" logo.

He was also wearing dark grey Nike trainers and a black-and-white camouflage jacket.

Ms Konstacka may be driving a grey coloured Seat Leon motor vehicle with the registration plate VRM SP04 WRX.

Police have asked anyone who sees Charlie of the vehicle to cotanct them on 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
