Toxic gas release warning system to be tested in Grangemouth
A total of 12 community warning masts across the town will be activated on December 7.
Residents in Grangemouth are being warned to expect a test of the town's major toxic gas release warning system next week.
A total of 12 community warning masts installed across the town will be activated at 2.30pm on Wednesday, December 7.
The warning system, designed to alert residents of a toxic gas leak from the Ineos petrochemical plant, will transmit warning tones and verbal instructions to the community.
The Grangemouth Major Incident Control Committee (MICC) said members of the public do not need to take any action during the test transmission.
Residents have been asked to share the details of the test.
