Doctor charged with killing woman by supplying her with drugs
Katy McAllister appeared in court over the death of Louise McGowan in Dundee.
A doctor will stand trial charged with killing a woman by supplying her with drugs.
Katy McAllister appeared at the High Court in Glasgow on Friday charged with the culpable homicide of Louise McGowan in May last year.
The 30 year-old allegedly recklessly and unlawfully supplied controlled and potentially lethal drugs at two addresses in Dundee, including a tattoo parlour.
The drugs involved in the case include tramadol, temazepam and codeine.
The indictment states Ms McGowan, of Dundee, ingested the drugs and died a day later.
Lord Burns set a trial due to start next April in Edinburgh.
McAllister also faces a string of other allegations. These included a charge she stole quantities of the class C drug Midazolam from Ninewells Hospital in Dundee between June and August 2014.
Prosecutors further claim she supplied or offered to supply drugs to a number of individuals.
McAllister, of Dundee, denies all the charges. Her bail was continued.
