Fresh appeal after sexual assault on teenager in fishing town
Police say they are following a positive line of inquiry after the attack in Anstruther, Fife.
Detectives investigating the sexual assault of a woman in a Fife fishing town say they are following a positive line of inquiry.
The 18-year-old woman was attacked on Cunzie Street, Anstruther, at around 1am on Sunday.
A major investigation is ongoing into the incident and witnesses are urged to come forward.
Officers confirmed on Thursday that their inquiries were progressing well.
A police spokeswoman said: "The investigation are currently ongoing and are following a positive line of inquiry.
"There is not thought to be any risk to the public, however, anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101."
