Man attacked four-year-old girl for 'misbehaving' at hawk show
Marc Robertson pushed her to the ground and held her down at Blair Drummond Safari Park.
A man attacked a four-year-old girl because she was "misbehaving" at a hawk show.
Marc Robertson pushed the girl to the ground, took hold of her shoulders and held her down.
The 38-year-old then pulled her back up by her arm at the event at Blair Drummond Safari Park near Doune in Perthshire.
Prosecutor Gail Russell said Robertson was also using "quite forceful language" in relation to the child's behaviour.
The depute fiscal said: "People were so concerned that they contacted park staff and the police were called."
Robertson, from Govan, Glasgow, pleaded guilty to assaulting the child, who was uninjured.
His solicitor told Stirling Sheriff Court: "This was over-chastisement which regrettably went out of control. He is ashamed."
Sheriff Valerie Johnston sentenced Robertson to carry out 100 hours of community service.
