A lorry driver has been taken to hospital after a crash with a van in Fife.

The collision took place on the A92 near the Melville Lodges roundabout near Cupar shortly before midday on Wednesday.

The road was blocked after the crash and police, ambulance and fire services were all sent to the scene.

The accident was cleared within an hour and the A92 was reopened by 1pm.

A police spokeswoman said the driver of the HGV had been taken to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy.

The ambulance service was unavailable for comment.
