Concerns are growing for an 18-year-old man reported missing in Inverness.

Adam Mitchell was last seen on CCTV near a BWM Garage on Longman Road in Inverness at around 12.50am on Thursday.

Police are increasingly concerned for his welfare and would urge anyone with information on his whereabouts to make contact via 101.

He was last spoken to at 9pm on Wednesday, when he is believed to have been in a pub on Baron Taylor Street in the city centre.

He failed to return to his home in Culduthel, which police say is "out of character".

Mr Mitchell is 5ft 11in, with a stocky build and long, brown hair and a beard.

He was wearing a black leather jacket, black jeans and boots when last seen.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Members of the public are thanked for their responses to our appeals so far."
