A road through a Dumfries and Galloway town has been closed after a suspected raid on an RBS cash machine.

The A7 through High Street in Langholm was sealed off at around 3am following the incident.

Police have only said the road was closed due to an "ongoing police incident".

Residents have reported that an ATM at the Royal Bank of Scotland was targeted.

Diversions are in place and drivers are asked to avoid the area where possible.
